Home AC mains socket

All emoto can charge from a mains socket. Plug in at night, wake up to a full tank. Most emoto have an on-board charger. Some have multiple on-board chargers. Some can also use off-board chargers. Some have removeable batteries that can be charged away from the bike, like under the desk at work.

AC chargers

Some premium bikes can utilise public AC chargers.
There are two types of AC plugs (and therefore sockets).

J1772

(also known as J plug or Type 1 connector)

Used by emoto originating from the USA.
Up to 32A single phase (7.68 kW).

(also known as Type 2 connector)

Used by vehicles in Europe and most of the rest of the world.
Up to 32A three phase (23 kW).
The fastest AC charging emoto can charge at 12.6 kW.

Public CCS chargers

Some premium bikes can also use public CCS rapid chargers.
The fastest CCS charging bike can draw 24 kW.
Most charging locations have more than one charger.
New chargers are being added all the time.
